G.ST Antivirals is a Vienna-based Spin-Off founded in the year 2019 by Johannes Stöckl and Giudo Gualdoni from the Institute of Immunology, Medical University of Vienna. G.ST Antivirals is dedicated to the development of therapies against different viruses applying a novel approach of antiviral therapy. The MedUni Vienna spin-off utilizes the viral dependency on the host cell metabolism and exploits this to design specific interventions counteracting viral nutrient supply. This leads to an intracellular starvation of the virus, ultimately resulting in highly impaired replication.
