Education & Research Training
An important focus of the institute's activities is the academic teaching and training of the next generation of scientists. All research groups of the Institute are training PhD students that are enrolled in the international PhD program of the Medical University of Vienna, which is structured into several thematic areas – an overview is provided here. Members of the Institute of Immunology are PhD supervisors and part of the teaching faculty in several thematic areas focusing on immunology. Moreover, two thematic areas are coordinated by members of the institute. A detailed description of the several PhD programs can be found at the homepages of the PhD programs (see below).
