Symposium zu Ehren von Prof. Erika Jensen-Jarolim – ein voller Erfolg
Am 28. April 2025 fand das wissenschaftliche Symposium „From Allergy to Oncology – A Life in Research“ statt – ein besonderer Nachmittag, der ganz im Zeichen von Prof. Erika Jensen-Jarolim und ihrer beeindruckenden Karriere stand. Von 13 bis 18 Uhr versammelten sich zahlreiche Gäste, darunter viele langjährige Kolleg:innen, Freund:innen sowie internationale Gäste aus England und Dänemark.
In spannenden Vorträgen wurde die ganze Bandbreite ihrer Forschungstätigkeit beleuchtet – von der Allergologie über die Onkologie bis hin zur Kombination beider Felder, der AllergoOncology. Dabei wurde nicht nur wissenschaftlich diskutiert, sondern auch mit viel Wertschätzung auf ihren Weg zurückgeblickt.
In der Pause gab es ein kleines Buffet mit selbstgebackenen Kuchen, und am Abend wurde mit einem Glas Sekt auf den Start ihres (Un-)Ruhestands angestoßen. Wir danken allen, die diesen Tag so besonders gemacht haben!

A Successful Symposium in Honor of Prof. Erika Jensen-Jarolim
On April 28th, 2025, the scientific symposium “From Allergy to Oncology – A Life in Research” was held to celebrate the remarkable career of Prof. Erika Jensen-Jarolim. From 1 to 6 PM, colleagues, friends, and international guests from the UK and Denmark gathered to look back on her impressive journey in science.
The program featured inspiring talks covering a wide range of topics – from allergy and oncology to the fascinating intersection of both fields, known as AllergoOncology. Alongside the scientific content, there was plenty of room for personal stories, memories, and appreciation.
During the break, guests enjoyed a small buffet with homemade cake, and the evening ended with a toast of sparkling wine to mark the beginning of her retirement. A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who helped make this event so special!
